ETF2L Highlander Maps

Maps are scheduled by the league. The following maps have to be played in the assigned order:
  1. Group round 1: 1. Gravelpit 2. Upward
  2. Group round 2: 1. Gravelpit 2. Freight
  3. Group round 3: 1. Badwater 2. Badlands
  4. Group round 4: 1. Badwater 2. Granary
  5. Playoff stage:
  6. Round of Sixty-Four: 1. Goldrush 2. Freight 3. Viaduct
  7. Round of Thirty-Two: 1. Dustbowl 2. Upward 3. Viaduct
  8. Round of Sixteen: 1. Badlands 2. Granary 3. Viaduct
  9. Quarter Final: 1. Gravelpit 2. Goldrush 3. Viaduct
  10. Semi Final: 1. Dustbowl 2. Badwater 3. Viaduct
  11. Final: Both teams pick one map, possible Decider Map by Map Elimination Mode
  • I hate Upward. It's really hard for me to stay alive long enough to get my über/kritz ready because of the map being so damn nice for scouts and DR spies. The last push is unbeliably SPAMMY, hate it so much. It's so boring to stay out of the fight just to build charge and then getting your patient/yourself killed by a surprise meatshot/backstab from above/behind a corner. ffs.
  • Gravel Pit is tricky... it's so much easier to attack than defend. One same plan/tactic seems to work as long as the other team doesnt notice it being the bloody same everytime. I like this map when I'm on the attacking side. Gotta watch more demos of this one, but almost all of them are 6vs6...
  • Badlands... love it but havent played it in the highlander mode which bothers me a bit. I know all teh favorable sniping/sentry spots but it's pretty hard to avoid getting sniped/spammed while trying to cap the mid point. It's a nice map for scouts and pyros... if natascha doesn't get nerfed it might be good to get it when capping/holding mid and 2nd.
  • The best pl-map : Badwater! LOVE IT, IT'S SO MUCH FUN whichever side you play on. Especially highlander mode works sooo well in this map because there wont be sentry spamming and sniping galore. While defending can get hard when the cart is past the 3rd point it still wont lose it's fun.. unlike upward.
Too lazy to cover the rest but Granary is gonna be annoying if you lose the mid point, Freight is gonna be fast if you can hold mid, Dustbowl can be over fast or take forever, Goldrush is from hell in general, Viaduct will get dominated by the team whose snipers are the best or/and whose sentries and the medic survives the longest.
